Everything on Cents to Shares is general education. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it isn't a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
The calculators
The calculators apply simple formulas and common rules of thumb to the numbers you enter. They ignore many things that matter in real life: taxes, fees, inflation that changes, your personal situation and the fact that markets don't move in straight lines. Results are illustrations, not forecasts.
Investing risks
Investments can fall as well as rise, and you can get back less than you put in. Leveraged products and CFDs can lose money very quickly, and most retail accounts trading CFDs lose money. Past results don't predict future ones.
Your decisions
You're responsible for your own decisions. For anything important, talk to a qualified, regulated professional who knows your full situation.
Mistakes
I test the formulas and check facts, but mistakes are possible and rules change. If you spot one, please let me know so I can fix it.
