Hi. I'm the person behind Cents to Shares. No name and no photo, on purpose: this site is about the tools, not about me.
Why I built it
I'm a regular investor living in Europe. What made the biggest difference to my money wasn't a secret or a hot tip. It was a few simple tools, used consistently. A budget where every euro has a job. A real emergency fund, so a surprise bill isn't a crisis. And, in investing and trading, strict rules about how much one bad decision is allowed to cost.
I'm here to share the tools that improved my life, in the simplest form I could build them, so you can start where it took me years to get.
What I am, and what I'm not
- I'm not a financial adviser, and nothing here is advice for your situation.
- I do manage my own money and investments, and I write about what I've actually used.
- I don't sell courses, signals or "systems", and I'll never tell you what to buy.
How the site is made
I build the calculators and write the guides. I use AI tools to help with code and first drafts, and every formula is covered by automated tests against known, worked examples. Facts like EU rules are checked against official sources. If you find a mistake, I want to know. The full details are in the editorial policy.
Written for people living in the EU. Where a guide describes rules, such as investor protection or limits on risky products, they are EU rules unless the page says otherwise. Outside the EU, including the UK, check your own country's regulator.
The calculators run entirely in your browser. What you type isn't sent to me or anyone else.
What this site will never do
- Recommend specific stocks, coins or products.
- Promise returns.
- Hide paid relationships. If I ever earn from a link or an ad, it will be clearly marked.
